Title: Patternmod inconsistency
Post by: mrsacan on 2023-12-11, 14:17:56
I'm kinda sure this is a bug because it changes when camera changes (zoom in / zoom out). I attached two screenshots (teapot for marking spot),
This is weird because there'a seperator object between the light and the patterned plane.

If this is not a bug and I'm missing something, you can mvoe this thread to help section.

edit : windows 10 pro, 3ds max 2020, corona 11

My mistake, it's not about patternmod, a normal solid model won't fix either.

It's really annoying though.
I can't figure this out. Doesn't make sense.

I also got this error if it helps.
I can't send the scene though, it's not a personal work.

Remodeled in a new file, no problem anymore. So I assume it's not related to Corona.
Sorry for inconvenience.

If possible, please send us a scene where the issues can be reproduced: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
(I mean the brightness differences in each "cube" and the NaN error)

The brightness differences should be fixable by switching the UHD Cache to "animation" preset, but we would need a scene to verify that.

I created an empty similar scene, (win 11, max 2023, corona 11) still get same issue, I will send the file right after posting this.

I tried, this works by the way.
