which CPU will work better with corona

workstation dell t7820 with dual processor Xeon gold 6138 or desktop with one processor i7 13700k

Take a look at the Cororna Render Benchmark results. Type the CPU name in the search box and compare.
For a larger comparision, do the the same with Vray benchmark results (more CPUs have been tested there) and also on this link for a general comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/

That said, have you considered an AMD CPU?
