Good morning
Is there a method or plugin to convert standard surface materials to corona materials?
I have a lot to do which makes it difficult to do it manually
Thank you
Pierre

Hi,
You can use Corona Converter to do the conversion. Here is a tutorial :
I hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply.
I have naturally already tried the corona converter, but unfortunately it cannot convert standard surfaces.
There used to be a plugin called universal material converter but it is no longer developed since max 2022
I am interested in an alternative solution.
Thank you

What is standard surface? Is it some third-party material plugin, or maybe you're talking about Autodesk's standard (legacy) material? In case it's the latter, you can use 3ds Max's scene converter to convert from standard (legacy) to Autodesk physical, then use this script (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=40571.0) to convert from Autodesk physical to Corona physical.

I guess OP means Arnold Standard Surface, the 'internal' Arnold material that Autodesk Physical is converted to under the hood when using Arnold as a renderer.

Thank you for your reply.
This is indeed a physical material for Arnold. The object comes from maya, so I think it's an export format from maya to max.
here is an autodesk link with its description :

I'm going to test again with the max converter, I had already tried but I couldn't find how to do it.
