Title: Texture Bug in Corona Render C4D with Archicad on MacOs
Post by: Nickdae on 2023-09-07, 15:57:40
Hello all,

i had several times texture bugs in my models when it comes to render. Also in one element. I tried to combine the surfaces with the same material and everything. But there are still lines and diagonals showing up. It's simple cubic mapping. Could you help me with that. A picture is attached. I had it in different models. I build them in Archicad and then export to C4D.

Thank you for your help!

Looks like geometry tearing and texture stretching.

Geometry tearing: make sure you geometry is clean once its imported. vertices should be welded and overlapping faces should be removed etc.

Texture stretching: re-uv your geometry after fixing the geometry so that your textures are not stretching throughout.

And if you're able to share this scene, that would also help.

Hello all,

thank you for your help. I could merge the Surfaces with the Polygon Reduction Tool. Then it worked.

I think it's an export mistake from Archicad to Cinema4D.

best,
Nick
