Title: SAHARA
Post by: Mohamed Ali on 2023-04-28, 10:05:00
Hello everyone,

SAHARA

A step into an Arabian world of magic and wonder with this  CGI project!
It showcases an old Imaginary Arabian city nestled between mountains,
from the intricate carvings on the gate to the lifelike movement of the camels.
If you're a fan of different cultures, imaginary architecture,
or just appreciate a beautiful visualization,
this is definitely worth checking out!

Software used: 3DSMAX - Chaos Corona - Adobe Photoshop

This looks very much like AI generated. Did you use Corona to render a base image which was then used for generation?
You can share a wireframe or raw render element as well which will show the amount of work done.

Dear ARAM,

Thank you for your interest in my work. Regarding the forum question, I would like to clarify that I did not use an AI generator for this particular image. Instead, I utilized a traditional process that began with 3dsmax for modelling , also there are a few ready models I have used, followed by Corona for rendering, and finally Photoshop for post-production. The raw render image was also included in the process and I have attached the full process files.

I believe that the combination of these software programs allowed me to achieve the desired results and create the final product you see. I hope this information clarifies any confusion.

Thank you again for your interest in my work.

I think Aram is suspicious because you used extreme amount of Chromatic Abberation :- ).
I suggest not using the effect at all for historic/fantasy landscapes since it clashes together, but if you like the effect, it needs to be very subtle, 10times less than now :- ).

Otherwise, it's very interesting image!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I agree that the chromatic aberration could have been toned down to create a more subtle effect.
In future historic or fantasy landscapes, I will take your suggestion into consideration.

Thanks a ton appreciate your words.

So was it chromatic aberration effect? I thought it's stereographic image, or something like that :]

Hey Romullus
yes, there was a little bit of chromatic aberration effect used in the image. However, I have removed it,

in the updated image shown below.

Thanks for sharing the process files, Mohamed! Great job!

The part that made me think this is AI generated is attached, it just looked to off with the washed out textures and excessive color noise.
The original renders look much better in this matter :)
