Hey, I want to render an animation with bloom and glare. But it constantly updates during rendering which is completely unnecessary, I just want it to be applied at the end.
I tried to use the bloom and glare render element and uncheck b & g in the frame buffer, but then there is no b & g at all.

Hello, we are aware of this and have the feature request logged for it. As a workaround, you can try using Bloom and Glare as render elements in post-production.

yes, it does not work.

Another workaround:
Render your images without bloom and glare, then use Corona Image Editor to add bloom and glare - https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4528237016721
This way you will not add bloom and glare calculation time to your rendering process (but you will still need CIE to spend some time applying it to your frames afterwards).

Ok, but CIE doesn't support image sequences so I have to use CoronaImageBatch script and this only supports .cxr files, right?

CIE and CoronaImageBatch support only CXR and EXR formats. I can imagine this may be an issue when processing a lot of files. I will let you know if I get any useful information on this.

A good solution could be to have the 'bloom and glare element' calculated only at the end or at the stop of the render even if b & g in the frame buffer is uncheck
