Hello,
Any help is appreciated.
Is there a way in corona that I can render an element which is the same color as the texture? without any effects. In V-ray I can easily get this via Vray-Diffuse filter.
I Tried using CShading_Source color but the color is different.

Hi,
It's a gamma thing - render elements are displayed in linear and you're comparing it to image with applied gamma curve. You need to save the cshading source element to disk and then compare it to source material. And when i say source material, i mean an image on the disk and not what's displayed in the viewport.

In Corona the shadig element includes diffuse color plus shading normal while the other one displays diffuse color only. I believe this is a long standing request, not implemented so far.

Yup, logged nearly 2 years ago apparently

Hello,
Thanks, romullus I think it's working. It seems that in the frame buffer the color is different but the moment I saved it as .exr and open the file with alpha channel I can get the result that I wanted now.
Thank you.

Hi all.
I'm not sure I understand what Romullus said.
How do I correct the color of the SourceColor in photoshop so it looks like the actual bitmaps?
See attached please

Don't look at what's displayed in the viewport - it shows wrong colours. You need to save SourceColor element to the disk and then compare. Save it with automatic gamma, not with linear override.

Ah! Yeah. That works.
Thanks.

Hi,
Some time ago, I submitted an idea to the Corona Ideas Portal addressing this exact issue. Please vote for it here:
