Hi,
I wanted to know if it is possible to do a quick search of materials when using the nodal system. I usually create views and call them Fabric, metal, wood etc, but when the materials start to become numerous, I always lose some time looking for them.
Is there any faster method?
Thanks

Hi, other than using the dropdown list, I do not think there is a way to search.

ok thanks,
I just noticed that if you double click on the material it flashes red for 2 seconds. Very helpful!

Unfortunately we don't have a search system for the materials (could be a neat feature request, we'd like to encourage you to post it in the appropriate part of the forum) but what I typically do is I re-drag the material I want to edit into the Corona node material editor and that then outlines the material with a yellow color. See the attachment for a visual demo :)
This not only works for dragging materials from the material manager but you can drag materials directly from material tags or other parts of the UI where you can see the material preview itself.

And just to demo the tag-drag-yellow outline workflow :)

thanks a lot for the GIF.
Regarding a search system it would be very helpful, now or post in the appropriate section.
thanks :)

if you need a fast (real time) search and filtering system for the material manager, we actually have made this for us, available here for all here in hour shop 3dtools.info:
