I did some tests. the new scene works as normal.
also if I remove all objects from the current  (problem) scene and save to a new file. everything works well.

Only my current file resets the tone mapping settings. I reset the render settings to zero (via the reset settings button in F10) and made some tone mapping settings. the problem remained.

how is that even possible how the contents of the scene can affect whether tone mapping is saved or not.
I don't use cameras or camera modifiers.

Hi,

We have a fix for this already in the pipeline. It will hopefully make a daily build very soon.

Thanks,

Rowan
