Hi, I've recently upgraded my whole team to max 2023 and corona 9. On 2 of our machines out of 30, Chaos Scatter just will not install no matter what I do. It doesnt appear in the plugins folder but it is in the appdata folder for some reason.

When I unpack the installer and copy the chaos scatter files into the right locations it comes up saying the plugin was unable to start.

My machine is one of the newest and is quite high spec so theres no reason that I can think of for it to not work.

Any ideas would be very helpful thanks

Hi,

Are you sure you are copying the scatter files to the correct locations?

Can you tell me which location you have copied the scatter files too and what error you are getting on running max?

I've sorted it thanks. I only copied the stuff for the autodesk folder and not the chaos group folder! I've still got no idea why it won't install automatically like every other machine but I'll worry about that next time I update.

on one of my node chaoscatter don't works.
Ther is a manual way to install it?

I've also had this issue (as have others, not sure why Corona Dev's haven't looked in to this more).

This thread was helpful for me, haven't had any problems since (have installed multiple version updates since)

Hi,

We've isolated one issue with the scatter installer and are working on a fix for it. I'm actively trying to find out if we have another issue..

There is indeed, you can select the unpack option in the Corona installer and there is a readme which explains exactly where to place the scatter files.
