Title: Best practice for bricks
Post by: Philw on 2022-10-05, 21:27:21
Just a quick ask what is the current best way to get some good random variation of bricks for buildings? Ideally all within C4D and latest Corona…

Cheers

There are probably a few ways for this. Have you tried the good C4D Brick shader? With some tweaking you can get some rather good results. This is just a quick example ;)

Thanks - yep I've dabbled with everything... Vizpark Omnitile, TilePro etc etc. Yes - perhaps time to revisit the built in shaders hooked up to a Corona Material :-)

For energy costs reasons I'm trying to keep everything on my M1Max - so was just getting a feel for what folks are doing - as purchased textures never have enough bricks to avoid getting a repeating pattern.

Loving the new sky clouds by the way!

Thanks

Corona Pattern for bricks works pretty damn well. Might not be the most realistic but certainly very light on processing power
