Hi Chaos Team,
As we are waiting for Corona 8 / Cinema 4D 2023 to be updated, I was curious if Corona had any intentions of introducing a user-friendly GOBO system for the lights.
All other render engines have this feature, I thought it would be a good idea that Corona had it too.

There are other threads on this topic, but I believe it is not possible with a Corona light object. You can, however, use a standard C4D light with a gobo effect. Not sure how much of a difference a Corona light vs. a C4D light give you.

Here's something for you to peruse https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=33136.msg184971#msg184971

I really think a more elegant solution is needed for this. The workarounds are pretty clunky currently

Thank you everyone for the feedback, I much appreciate it. Yes, I did try the workflow of C4D lights, but this process has to be changed. We need something similar to RedShift where you can just drag an image and it's done or something similar to Arnold.
Anyways, wishing everyone on this thread a wonderful and relaxing weekend ahead.

The possibility to use images or shaders in the Corona lights is mandatory. When we talk about a realistic rendering engine, I think it's even a little pathetic that this function doesn't exist. Especially for Cinema 4d users, where the focus is not only on architecture. Please guys, pay special attention to this feature.
