Title: Landscape Lens vs Portrait Lens
Post by: ndp on 2022-04-22, 13:53:13
Hey, can someone help me with this ?

When changing the output settings from landscape to portrait e.g. Width 1000 height 700 to width 700 height 1000.
I have the issue of the portrait camera lens bing much wider than it is in real life. FOV calculation issue ?
In max I used to fix this by chaning the crop factor to 1.5 when working in portrait format.
Is there a similar workaround in c4d ? There is a zoom section under the FOV but it is greyed out.

Thanks

If you need to introduce crop factor, then look at sensor size drop down. 1.5 crop should be named APS-C, or something like that.

Excellent, Thank you!

So simple, just change the sensor size / sensor width to 24mm instead of 36mm.
