Title: [Solved] Increasing "Render multiplier scale" in planes makes huge in viewport
Post by: Basshunter on 2022-04-12, 17:35:04
It only happens while rendering, doesn't matter if it is with IR or production. Once you stop rendering, the plane goes back to normal size.

This is kind of awkward since the "Render multipliers" properties are meant to affect how the plane looks on the rendering not on the viewport. As I've mentioned in other posts (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=36097.msg197203#msg197203 (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=36097.msg197203#msg197203)), having a huge plane on the viewport creates some annoying issues when you need to zoom extend/out and navigate, specially when the main object of the scene is very small compared to the big plane.

I am afraid this is expected. Same if you set a modifier to "render only"; or if you use Turbo Smooth modifier with render iterations, right?

Hi Maru. This is definitely undesired behavior from 3ds Max side. Why not implementing an "Infinite Corona plane" just like V-Rray? It's something that has been requested for so long as far as I understand.
