Post by: shortcirkuit on 2022-02-09, 01:18:18
Hi all

When i save out from teh VFB i get 300dpi but when i save out of the CIE, i get 72 - is this a degraded version?

dpi is not stored in the file in any way and has no meaning for a digital image. The same file can be called 72 dpi, 300 dpi, or 7200dpi and be the same image :) The only thing you need to be concerned with while an image is digital is how many pixels wide and tall it is, pixels are all that count.

(DPI only comes into play if you are printing, and then what dpi you choose to say the file is - and I do mean choose - will determine how those pixels translate into inches for your print).
