Title: Anisotropic Bug
Post by: pandus2 on 2014-04-16, 00:24:14
Problem - Anisotropic bug as a line

Cylindrical surface in any position = bug
(Bug shown on the top and bottom side of the object, relative to the axis Z)
Cylindrical surface along the axis Y = no bug
Flat surface = no bug
Spherical surface = no bug

HDRI or Light Source = bug
____
Sorry for my english :)

Isn't this line just the edge of the gradient map...?

No, I thought so too.

This is without gradient, only anisotropy.

Bug also is.

I do not think that is a bug. It may also be limitation of current anisotropy implementation. Anisotropy is always world space, it does not support object space or UV space.

Bad that it imposes restrictions on the visualization.

Tested the V-Ray.
The problem with anisotropy is also V-ray, but differently expressed.
