why?
Is this a bug?use translucency,but get this result,outside brightness,inder is dark....
use corona light,type sphere....
-
Does your mesh have thickness?
-
vray not like this
-
try using more diffuse and less translucency level
-
vray not like this
You transmit more light than you reflect back. It is simple and makes sense. Just decrease translucency fraction value to change balance between transmitted vs reflected light. And yes, true... Vray is not like Corona. We do not have 20 different semi-interdependent knobs just to set up basic sampling ;)
-
rebuild this object and flip normals,but..........
-
nvm
-
Why are you using translucency = 1. Tried 0,1 or 0,3 first?
And if your geometry has thickness, then I think there might be some heavy bouncing taking place inside of it.

Your translucency color is white... so translucent component will be white... if you need translucent color to be same as diffuse, you need to put same map into translucency color as well...

Thx~!translucency fraction set 0.3,and translucent color used same as diffuse bitmap,it looklike normal
but set translucency fraction to 1.0,the object innerside can't receive lights, still dark than outsid, why?

As Rawalanche said, it means all light is transmitted to the other side, no light is reflected. This is not realistic. In Corona you should keep everything as realistic as possible.
-
not a bug, normal behavior - you need to play withthe translucency value

ok,thanks of all my friends!
