This film was written, directed, designed, produced and edited by myself and my co-worker during a quiet month at work.
Our goal with this piece was to explore a a different take on what a marketing campaign could look like for a fictional new hotel development. We wanted to create a strong feeling of anticipation - a warm, comforting sense arrival as the color tones shift from cold blues to the warm interiors.
I could not be happier with our result. The film represents my first opportunity to both fully art direct and also color grade an entire piece from beginning to end, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Personally it also represents a major milestone in my confidence levels when it comes to both interior design and overall art direction for a short film.
The intention is to some day finish the piece, exploring what the bedrooms and amenities could look like.
