Title: Can't make sense of instructions for downloading "parse mtl" script

I'm following this tut for windows (but I'm on Mac):

Can't seem to make heads or tails of it. I downloaded the script, but when I went to "run script" in C4d, then clicked the script before selecting the mtl from my desktop like he did, nothing happened at all. I'm wondering what could be wrong. Is this just not a good method for Mac or am I missing something?
