Title: manage the displacement subdivision individually for each materials
Post by: rsi on 2014-03-29, 00:17:03
Didn't found it, don't know if it's better than a modifier, and don't know if that fit with Corona's beautiful simplicity.

Ahem, what exactly do you mean? In corona, there is displacement ONLY in materials

Hi, I mean that displacement options (subdiv, units) are managed globally in the scene and not individually for each objects or each materials (in the main settings). Not an essential one, but in some cases could be better?

ah, ok ;) I do not want to put individual sampling controls inside materials, so I will try to improve the displacement algorithm quality instead

I saw that it's already very fast! I was wondering if I was time to use it on almost everything like Meindbender does.

yeah I agree multiple blends would be great like vrays blend mat.  I've not gotten round to trying displacement yet in corona but does it work from the material? I need it for a brick wall in my scene.
