Title: Material converter Updates?

Just wondering if there are any plans to update the material converter to convert 3dsmax physical material to Corona, or Corona Physical?
These days I'm using Max2020 Max2021 I am getting a lot of models from other Apps that I import into MAX, there materials import with the 3dsmax Physical material.
I really miss being able to convert them, doing this manually sucks

We have update of the converter already prepared for next daily build:

• All materials will now be converted into CoronaPhysicalMtl.
• CoronaLegacyMtl will also be converted to CoronaPhysicalMtl.
• In the first iteration all non-corona materials will be converted in 2 steps, first converting to CoronaLegacyMtl and then converting that to CoronaPhysicalMtl. Will be improving that with direct conversion to CoronaPhysicalMtl in further iterations.

We hope to release this build today in best case, sometime later this week in worst case.

Hi Ryuu,
Is the material converter update in the corona-7-3dsmax-daily-2021-03-22 ?
The Corona Converter in that build is V1.47 it doesn't convert 3dsmax Physical materials.

Hi,

I'm sorry for the confusion here, the current converter converts all previously supported materials to the CoronaPhyiscalMaterial now.

The 3ds Max Physical Material was not supported before so also currently isn't.

We have this one logged in our system and would like to get to it as soon as we can.

Hello! I am used to working with CoronaLegacyMtl (CoronaMtl), and so is my studio. CoronaPhysicalMtl takes a long time to get used to.
So hopefully it will be possible to convert Vray materials to CoronaLegacyMtl. Now in the last update it converts immediately to CoronaPhysicalMtl, it's not convenient...  Add a selection button.
