Title: Magic Bullet Looks in default Corona settings
Post by: Gareth Griffiths on 2020-12-11, 11:08:03
Hello everyone,
I think this started after I installed R23 and was testing some new stuff out. I'm not sure whether I added the Magic Bullet Looks effect in the Corona render settings or if it was always there. Well it's always there now when I open the default Corona setting and I can't delete it as is possible with other effects. I can leave it unchecked but I would like to have it not there as it doesn't have a function with Corona anyway and sometimes crashes Cinema if I do anything with it. I've already tried trashing my prefs. and reinstalled R23 and Corona. I might have to do a clean install of Cinema and Corona but maybe there's an easier way that I'm not aware of. This started when I had Catalina installed with Corona 6. Now I have Big Sur and Corona 7.
Cinema R23.110
macOS Big Sur 11.0.1
Corona 7
iMac Pro

Maybe I'm missing something obvious. I hope someone can help.
Cheers
Gareth

Hi there, this might be a C4D bug. Initially, when I open R23 MBL wasn't listed. I added it, unchecked it, and closed Cinema. Upon opening again it was listed but unchecked. I tried deleting "new.c4d" from the main C4D folder but that made no difference. I'd suggest contacting their support about this unless others have a solution.

Hi Beanzvision,
Thanks for trying to find a solution! I'm sorry it's happened to you too. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to replicate this to see if they can fix it then. But if anyone has had the same problem and managed to fix it it'd be great to post the solution here. In the mean-time I'll contact Maxon and see what they say. If I find a fix I'll let you know here. I'll bet myself a beer that Maxon won't blame it on Corona (renderer)
Thanks
Gareth

It's always there for me too, I just took it that that is how C4D works. They really really want you to use it ;)

There's a good chance it won't be blamed on them too! ;)

Hi there, to my knowledge, it was not determined if this is a Corona issue or just how Cinema is set up now. As mentioned in my previous post, it would be recommended to contact MAXON support in regards to this.
