Title: White spots render
Post by: antoine.mrv on 2020-12-02, 00:33:07
Hello,

I have a lot of fireflies appearing on my render and I can't seem to find the problem... Does anyone have an idea?

I put you a picture up close so that you can see the phenomenon. I used an HDRI and I believe it is related by looking at the old posts, but I will like to continue using it.

Is there a solution?

Do you have caustics turned on?

Alternatively, there is a known issue of fireflies when using background over-rides. Is your HDRI illumination the same as the one that is visible?

Lastly, are you using Path Tracing as your secondary solver (as it's an outdoor scene?)?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

It looks a lot better turning off the caustic solver ! But now the problem is that I no longer have the trace of the direct sun inside my volumes haha

I'm starting out, I may have made an obvious mistake.

Make sure you glass has thickness and that you use the default corona glass from the corona material library. This will give the most physically accurate and basic settings.
