Hello guys, Im using snow texture with footsteps (PBR texture) but the texture its just flat, I tried to change the displacment value in material editor, I tried to use CoronaDisplacementMod modify, I tried subdevine modify, I tried to decrease the Screen px number but still doesn’t work, The displacement is correct map and is correcty placed in the snow material, I dont want the whole texture to be raised, I want the depth on the footsteep exaclty how is shown in the preview, this is the material: https://www.poliigon.com/texture/ground-snow-footprints-005
Thank You

Did you try to increase displacement min/max values? It could be that the map is authored with limited height range and you simply don't get any perceptible displacement with default values. As for the second part of your question, it depends on how the map looks. If it's predominantly grey with darker patches where footsteps should be, then you need to set max level to 0 and min value to some negative number in Corona material. Also don't forget that displacement map should always be loaded without gamma correction - this is very important!

Hello romullus, thank you for your reply,
If i put the max value to 0 and min value to negative number, should I do it on material editor or on CoronaDisp modify?

If you're using Corona displacement modifier, then set min/max values in it, otherwise control displacement parameters in material. Generally, you don't need to use modifier, unless you want to have finer controls per object.

Checkout the technique of using Gradient Map in the thread linked below.

I have an issue with displacement maps from Quixel that are not adjusted to the full extent of black and white values, and this fixes that. I was having to crank up the displacement values to get any kind of noticeable effect.
I would be nice if Corona could come out with a 'levels adjustment' map that could do this more easily.

It worked!!! but I needed to decrease the min value to -30cm to notice the difference.
