first work in Carona
i7 3.0 32gb ram GTX 680
render time 1 hour

good
just don't add those shitty fake abberations
-
Nice and clean ;)
I was always fascinated by this "lightbulb 3d experiment".
A real life example of glass, metal and plastic combined with the an illuminescent material.
-
Yeah. Aberration doesn't make your render better. If you take your real camera and try to shot lamp with visible burning wire, background will be dark.
Doesn't bottom contact should be lead metal ?
-
The glass and the metal part doesnt look realistic for me. Especially the metal. U have to work on this a little bit more.

I like it. This is an simple and clean exercise. It's not discussion regarding the "Do's" or "Dont's" in Corona render engine.
Of course, never you won't be able to see in real life that kind of aberations but I think that aberation it's just a simple reflection...
I bet that you all guys will make the same thing with this 3d scene! Wanna bet Makovsky that you won't be able to make a better image?
