Title: Render Stop before noise limit level
Post by: bastille on 2020-09-12, 09:34:04
Hello,
I installed corona 6 with max 2021.2 for a new project; I'm using always the same general settings ( pass limit 0 time 0 noise level limit 5%) but the rendering stopped before 5%. Last time it was 5.85% but it can be 15%...
I never had this bug (?) before. Do you know what is happening?
Thank you
Pierre

Can you reproduce this issue in every scene or only in specific one/s?

Hi I am having this same issue!

Scenes sometimes just renders 2 passes then denoises and completes.
Tried a bunch of things to try stop this.
Aside from constantly having to "resume" from last render.
But its random. I've had the same render render 2 passes then shot down. then render againl and reach 8 then shut down.
* With 4.5% noise and 80 Passes set.

This is madening since I have deadlines with multiple renders in Que.

Will it be possible to provide us with an archived reproduction scene so that we can properly assess this?

Please submit a ticket: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new, or simply archive a scene and upload here: https://corona-renderer.com/upload (preferably dropbox-for large files)

I resumed a render that had stopped before the noise limit level, it worked but it stopped again shortly after. Every time I resumed it ,it does the same

Can you please retry uploading the repro-scene, I am afraid the previous upload was not successful.

Thank you.

I may have something, I have the impression that this problem only occurs when network rendering is enabled

Hi Pierre,

I am looking into this one, can you just make sure that you have the same versions of Corona + Max + 3rd party plugins on both the slave machines as the master machines.

You say this is only happening with network rendering, is the Corona's DR or some other network rendering software?

Cheers,

Rowan

Hi Rowman.

Yeah its bizzare.
I've tried uninstalling Corona and reinstalling on both machines.
my licensed workstation seems to render things fine.
But via backburner or now having tried Pulze.
The same thing happens.

Renders will start and randomly finalize.
ignoring all limits.
I've tested with multiple scenes and all randomly stop.
None of it seems repeatable. but will always end early.

I've also tried reseting settings
clearing the fields and re-entering limits.
Still the same thing.

It's pretty frustrating since I am unable to use my render box to feed jobs too.
I was on a daily build for Cor6 with no issue.
Then when installing RC6 release version this issue began.

Thanks again.

Regards.

Sorry for the delay. I have just created a support ticket for you. You should receive an email to your forum email address. Let's continue there, if possible.

The issue *might* be related to the remote desktop app Anydesk. Investigating.
