hi guys
not sure if this a bug or not - but ive placed a sphere in a box , the sphere has an light emission material on it
and when rendered its seen on the box surface....Can someone help...I dont want the sphere to show thru the box, but still need the light inside it.

I have no idea what is going on here but M. C. Escher would be so proud of you. Please post material setups and what version you are using.

Interesting, can you post the scene?

attached file.

Your material has very slight refraction enabled.

Thank you Ondra,
I just lowered the Refraction of the metal and also made the greys colours darker to no.2, seems to do the trick.
thanx again for your quick response.
I had a similar problem on another scene will go try and see if that works with this .

Why would you even have refraction on metal materials in the first place? Metal never refract any light. Set it to zero.

Keymaster, its easy he probably converted the evermotion material's at some point those guys used refraction IOR and values at all their models.
Some people mistakenly change the values because they think that you should add atleast some refraction to objects as all objects in reallife have some IOR.
