Title: Plant shader not seen in the render?
Post by: yvesjaye on 2020-05-25, 06:50:34
Hey all,

I've attached 2 images. First one is the 3d model I downloaded.
Second one is the render output by corona.

My question is why is my render so different from the 3d model?

Regards,
Yvesjaye

What is original material of the model? If it's not Corona, did you use converter to convert it to native? How the model looks if you render it in normal light conditions and not as in your example - underexposed against bright backdrop?

Hi yvesjaye,

I can't comment on the plant model or material, so I'm sorry to hijack your thread and deviate from the topic....

I've noticed you pop up a lot on the forum in recent days. You're obviously new to Corona and the forum, and possibly new to 3DS max too.

I'd recommend, rather than asking us many tedious questions, you first acquaint yourself with the Corona support website. Additionally, watching youtube tutorials will take you a long way. Specifically, I'd recommend watching beginner tutorials for Corona. Also, of course, rather than asking super specific questions (such as this one), first do a search in the forum to see if other similar problems have arisen.

I'm sorry to dissuade you from discussion in the forum, but I honestly don't think you'll learn much by coming to us with every little hurdle you encounter. Have a play in 3ds max and corona, try to figure the problem out yourself.

Good luck.

Your shader setup should be pretty similar to the pictures below, you will need some form of reflection/glossiness definitely some bumping and translucency. And of course proper scene lighting, please post your example material node to assist you further.

Hey, thanks for your kind reply. I used the converter. I missed the lighting. It works now. Thanks

Hey George, Thanks for your kind reply. I followed the same. Everything looks fine now. I've put my scene to batch render which is taking quite sometime. Will post it asap.
Thanks again.

I've seen most of the tutorials. This page is categorized as "I need help" rather than "asking tedious question". I had some minor glitches and I resorted to the forum. This is a commissioned work and I really don't have the time right now to see more threads.I think there is a strong idea behind this forum, which you must have misunderstood. If everyone would have figured out the issue, no one would be resorting to the forum.
Think.
