for practice im am re-rendering evermotion scenes from my collection to see if i can match how they where made with vray. here is my first test
-
render time with Vray?
vray render is photoretouched? it seems to be more crispy.
-
your post production could be better. i prefer the raw. however, whats the vray render time?
-
Vray render time on my system is about 10mins with Vray 3.0
Here is a raw render from vray but it doesn't look like the above, i think Evermotion also did some post work
I also worked a bit further to tweak materials and played around with gamma and here is another Corona render with no post work in the same render time
-
For my the vray image looks more saturated. The glass in the corona render looks more natural. I dont know if this is for the material parameters or not.
Nice test.
-
vray glass is more reflective
the metallic parts in Corona are rendered black
the suns don't match.

I decided to do a small animation with this scene, here is a quick low quality render (PT 16 HD cached 1024 @2 passes, 1 min per frame)
will upload a more final high pass after it renders over night
