Title: Motion blur for changing toplogy
Post by: l337 on 2014-03-03, 15:58:05
I just wanted to render some realflow meshes and noticed corona doesn't support motion blur for meshes with changing topology. It would be great to see it implemented.

Agree, pretty important for fluid simulation renders :)

this is generally not possible - it would be possible for some special cases, such as specific fluid simulators

The only way I can see that working is if the fluid simulator writes out a vertex velocity map.

Actually, velocity vertex channel is pretty much elementary feature across most of the fluid simulation software. So if he mentions realflow, then it's definitely possible.

I will eventually solve it on per-plugin base. But a general solution is not possible, and this feature is out of the scope of the 1.0 release arch/product viz range

Ondra, what about real dispersion? I mean if 1.0 is product/arch viz one should be able to render cool diamonds :D

How about a motion blur post production solution?. I think is best.
