Title: Interior Test
Post by: Raviraj005 on 2012-11-20, 18:04:51
Hello Everyone,

Here is my first Test Render with awesome plu-gin like Corona Render...

I used most of the Ready made stuff to reduce modeling part.... but took special attentions on Shaders and Post Work..
Shader creation is Excellent.. like material preview...got confuse on creating glass and mirror.
waiting for SSS..

Render settings are PT + HD cache
Render Time - 1 Hour

I did post work using After effect instead of Photoshop bcoz its giving me more freedom on working with passes.. adding extra details like flares, Particular dust  and color correction..

SO... thanks for such a wonderful App.... Waiting for new advanced build.....

regards

Glass is simple...  You set refraction level at 1, reflection level somewhere between 0,5-0,9, diffuse level to 0 and then you are done... (IOR is defaulted at glass)

Mirror and other metal materials might be sometimes tricky... The key is to use very low diffuse values (very dark gray, but never 100% black) Also, never use reflection level of 1 for metals, use from 0,55 for aluminium and such, up to 0,95 for mirror and such, depending on how shiny they are, and use high fresnel IOR value.

So for example:

Brushed steel:

Diffuse - RGB 5,5,5 (dark gray), reflectivity 0,7, fresnel IOR 10, reflection glossiness 0,4

Mirror:

Diffuse - RGB 3,3,3 (very dark gray, nearly black), reflectivity 0,9, fresnel IOR 20, reflection glossiness 1

Very nice, you used Corona's DOF or did it in post ?

What is that plugin you used for the flare effect ?

Thanks Sam  ...

No... corona dof taking too much Time for render so... i added in the Post (AE)by using Zdepth pass .. even we can adjust the dof amount and focusing later by this way......

For Flare i used AE presets( lens flare and grainy patch created in PS ) and de-saturate the image for getting photo look
