Title: How to achieve hazy effect corona 3dsmax
Post by: Obnoxiousgolem on 2020-01-28, 17:34:26
Apologies if this has been asked and answered a million times before, I'm relatively new to 3d rendering and wasn't sure of the correct terminology to search to get the results I'm looking for.

But basically I'm trying to achieve a hazy result similar to the attached image, I wasn't sure if this was a corona, 3dsmax or photoshop solution, any help or links to tutorials etc would be greatly appreciated

"Volumetrics" - check our YouTube channel for various tutorials on volumetrics such as clouds, fog, "god rays" etc. https://www.youtube.com/corona-renderer

And you can check the helpdesk for articles such as this one https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000039649-what-are-the-two-available-sss-modes-

You can also do it in post if you prefer, by using a ZDepth map (render element) as one method (using it as a simple mask in post to blend a "fog layer" into the image), or in a more advanced way if your post software supports it, you could use the World render element (there's a video tutorial on that on our channel too).

Hope this helps!
