It would be very cool if CoronaRoundEdges map could work in conjunction with opacity maps. If you could add perforation map to opacity and round edges to bump and your materials would have nice rounded edges around perforation holes, that would greatly increase realism.

Jakub Cech requested this same things two years ago, so that opacity mapped leaves could catch nice highlights :- ).
Yeah this would be really nice feature. +1

Ups. Although it's not exactly the same request, but i'm marking mine as duplicate. Thanks Juraj, for spotting this out.
Duplicate: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=15639.0

Yeah it's slightly different, but same functionality as end-result :- ). You worded out how this could practically work without being introduced as one-off feature.

I’ve just recently thought that it’s worth finalizing this functionality, as far as I know, now the round edge map works for thin meshes only in legacy mode and I don’t really understand why, because it is just extremely useful for archiviz. If we could use this map together with the opacity map and get several options for additional customization, that would be great.

Did a plus one on Jakub's post and I'm doing a +1 here as well. +1! :P
edit: Btw, why is this topic under resolved feature requests anyway? :o

It's because this request is duplicate. The team does not need multiple requests or reports on the same issue, it would just make more mess.

Ah, right. Sorry about that :)

No prob!
