In my country one night of the year is very important.
Yalda is the longest night of the year and its a time when friends and family gather together to eat, drink and read poetry until well after midnight.
At this night fruits and nuts are eaten and pomegranates and watermelons are particularly significant.
The red color in these fruits symbolizes the crimson hues of dawn and glow of life.

This is simple, yet beautiful.

I always admired various organic things such as fruit and fruit stones. I mean, just look at the stone of a lychee. :)
