Hi,
Could anyone tell me please why the attached scene has so much noise?
Thanks.
EDIT: 3Ds Max 2016 and Corona 5, on Windows 10.

Hi,
In theory this scene may seem quite simple, however this is one of the cases where the lightsolver can actually struggle and therefore produce lots of noise.
It is to do with the positioning of the sun in your scene, the light is most probably having to take a long route to get in through the window which is why there is this noise.
If you play with the positioning of your sun i.e. move it so it is directly pointing towards the window in the box you'll see that the noise clears much, much quicker.
I hope this helps.

Thanks.
Is there something else I could do in case I want the sun to remain in that position? (Like for example turning something off or on?)

Actually moving the sun doesn't seem to be making a difference. I'll make a video and post it here.

Do not forget to add shell modifier

Thanks Sprayer!
That removed the fireflies.
I remember this being a big issue with vray, but not with corona. Weird.

Are you guys getting this performance with Corona 5?

It's not exactly a problem or related to Version 5 of Corona similar results you will experience in v4 and v3 (or Vray, or Redshift etc. some renderers might be faster than others), it's reasonable when your confined space has only but a small opening for light to come through and bounce around. Hence the noise.
You can gain some time rendering this by keeping your scene as is and just altering the highlighted render settings in the attached screenshot.

Ok.
Thanks.
