Hello Everyone,
I'm having a weird issue with interactive rendering and setup lightimix on a very basic scene with default settings.
I add a box with displacement and some lights and then I press setup lightmix in the corona toolbar.
The frame buffer with IR was turning on and off when I was moving the light around but it was fine when I was moving the object around.
Can you please run some tests as well to confirm that you have the same problem? I manage to replicate the issue on a new scene today.
Here is the video with the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/86s0vxwxbxe8w39/IMG_1514.MOV?dl=0
Let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Nikos

Hi,
Would you be able to send over your scene? I wasn't able to replicate this behaviour so far.
Could you confirm which version of Windows and Max you are using?

Hi,
I can't replicate the issue at home but it's always happening at my computer at work.
I'm using 3ds Max 2018 with Windows 10 Pro. My graphic card is Geforce GTX with driver 441.12.
I don't have the scene but I will create one now and share it with you.
Thanks,
Nikos

Hi,
It's actually happening even with a single box and a single light. If I don't press setup lightmix I can move the light without any issue.
After I press setup lightmix and run the IR the frame buffer will turn on and off when I move the light around, like the video I send you yesterday.
Thanks,
Nikos

Hi,
Can you provide me with the full specification of your system?
Can you also make sure that your version of Windows is fully up to date, by running Windows update.
Thanks,
Rowan

Hi Rowan,
I double-check and my windows are up to date. I also reinstalled Corona 5 with custom settings and the latest NvidiaAiDenoiser (the problem is not fixed)
Full Spec:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 1950X 16 Core 3.39GHz
Memory: 128GB 1333MHz
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB
Windows 10 Pro
Let me know if you need any additional information.
Thanks,
Nikos

Hi,
Thanks for the information. I can only reproduce this issue with Max 2018 and older.
I will report this to our dev team and see what can be done.
Thanks,

Hi Rowan,
That sounds great, thank you for your help!

It's simple: After creating the lightmix automatically, the frame buffer changes it's channel to "Interactive Lightmix". If you change back to beauty, the flickering is gone. The change to lightmix is the bug imho.
Good Luck
