Title: CML - The final model.
Post by: CML on 2014-02-07, 11:15:32
hi all.

As the website is in its final stage,  I am very exited to reveal the final model that will be used as the sample scene.
All credit goes to VOLDEN for excellent job by optimizing the sample scene model so that everyone will enjoy the best material presentation on the cml website.

The final model has a perfect unwrap.
sss, metal, glass, woods and more great materials will look amazing on this model.
Expect more news in the upcoming days.
In the meantime, you can
enjoy some preview renders.
have a nice weekend.

Cool model.

I want to suggest a variation for things like fabrics, and another one for things like thin layer objects (tree leaves)

In the end, a plane for the leaves and the same object with a cloth simulation over it with some wrinkles to see the anisotropic effect.

Cheers.

fabric will be included in separate layer on official cml model.

That fabric idea is great,

I like the model overal but It would be great if the overal "crown" line the place where white stars would be moved 1-2 cm lower, other than that I will surely like to use CML.

Seems that Corona will have most visual pleasant material preview models in comparison with other renderers.

I know it may be a bit too late. But here's a simple shaderball scene i did for London presentation.

That's pretty great. I wish it had slightly bigger chamfer radius (like on the very low parts) but that's small thing.

Looks very nice,  the black studio setup is cool... Really great materials.. The highlight and reflections are a bit strong.
Nice job.
Did the Vray team arrive to the Corona presentation? ;-)

A6 is out, what about CML ?

It would be nice to give some model/setup soon at least, so a few materials might be ready for launching the web.
The website will have to archive version too, I suspect, because sss, translucency, etc won't be final before a while...
