Title: Nvidia denoise possibly linked to bluescreen
Post by: iancamarillo on 2019-08-30, 20:20:43
I've noticed (on several computers with generally new tech specs) when I use Nvidia denoise rendering 5k+ AND watching videos on other websites can cause temporary instability in Windows. Usually the computer recovers but just now the computer completely crashed and went bluescreen. It's like I need to not use the computer if I'm rendering high res with Nvidia denoise.
Has anyone else had this experience?

Xeon E5-1660 v3
128 GB RAM
RTX 2080 Ti
Version 431.36
Windows 10

Yes, I've been noticing instability when using Nvidia on high-res images as well (not in IR).  I haven't really pinpointed it to start a thread on, but typically it seems to freeze the system after I stop the rendering on 4K+ images and I have to wait a couple minutes for the system to come back.  When I turn off Nvidia denoise- the problem stopped.

Try to disable GPU acceleration in web browser and check again.
