Title: Quadro 4000 work with nvidia AI Denioser?
Post by: anon10101 on 2019-07-25, 16:04:02
Hi,

Just a quick question, should corona's Nvidia AI denoiser work with an older card like the quadro 4000? or is the card too old?

Is it designed to work with all Nvidia cards or is there a list somewhere of compatible cards?

(FYI the quadro is in an old slave machine, so I want to see if it could work on there..)

Cheers!

NVIDIA never did provide a list of cards that it would be compatible with - the only specification is "Kepler architecture or newer" (but some mobile GPUs that are Kepler based don't work, perhaps due to memory); also, some GPU families have the same family name but are based on different architectures. The Quadro 4000 appears to be Fermi based, which is before Kepler (e.g. http://meseec.ce.rit.edu/551-projects/fall2017/1-5.pdf) so wouldn't be compatible.

Thanks Tom!

I thought it would have issues being an old card..

Appreciate the response! Cheers
