Title: Grainy Volumetrics...
Post by: johnnyswedish on 2019-06-28, 10:17:26
Hi Forum!

I did my first job with volumetric material to create visible light rays from stage lights. I have created a cube around the whole scene with volumetric material and rendered it at 1080x1920px with 80 passes. The light rays are really grainy and ugly. How do I fix this? Thanks :-)

Try to use "single bounce only"

Hi Houska,

Thank you for a swift reply! I will try this out this evening... Have a great sweltering weekend :-) John

Hi Houska,

I tried this but still looks unacceptably grainy. Could I send you the scene with the spotlights? John.

I've tried to use the volumetrics feature several times - Personally I find this feature useless due to very very long render times (always with "single bounce" ticked on)
