Title: Rendering problem with certain targeting point
Post by: Makke100 on 2019-06-28, 08:37:45
Hi!
Do you have any idea why this rendered screw looks like a polygon when I render the image in a certain position? When I changed the camera target point to directly to the screw, it looks fine.

The problem occurs when I try to render the whole image. There is another screw in the right side of the image and it looks fine, but this left one distorts for some reason. Maybe it is a bug?

Please see the image.

I have a 3Ds Max 2017 and Corona 4. Only Corona cameras, lights, and materials.
Thank you in advance! :)

Hi,
Best way to solve the issue, would be to upload problematic scene (preferably stripped of unnecessary assets). You can use private uploader if you don't want to share it publicly. That way only Corona support team will be able to access and analyze it.

Hi. Those screws are Body-objects, so they change their resolution depending on the viewing angle and distance. So play with the Body-object settings, og convert them to a static mesh.

Hope it helps

Edit: BTW, this is not caused by Corona. This is just how Max works :)

Thank you, PROH!
Yes, that worked!
I didn't understand that because I used Mental Ray before and there was no problem with the same image/scene, but now this case is closed.

Thank you again! :D

oK... If both MentalRay and Scanline renders this without the same issue as Corona, then I think this should be considered as a bug. In that case, you should make a bug report.
