Title: C4D & corona node editor
Post by: daveclive on 2019-06-20, 05:23:16
Hey all,

anyone got any good resources for learning the corona node editor in C4D.

I'm new to node editing and can't find any decent resources online.
Will there be any training released?

thanks

I used this to get me going and I found it good value for money...it covers most of Corona for C4D http://mographplus.com/product/comprehensive-introduction-to-corona-for-cinema-4d/
It does have a section on the node editor and whilst it does not go into every details it is enough to get you going and be a good base to start from.

I know some of the tutorials included in this get released on Youtube for free. Might be worth checking there first to see if the node editor is there.

Thanks for the reply.

Yep, I purchased this and it helps with the overall basics of using the node editor.
However it doesn't really explain in much detail about using shader maps and what shaders to plug into what channels, etc to create materials.

E.g. if you were download shaders from a site like this https://cc0textures.com/
you get a folder with different maps. Would love some clarification on what channels they need to be plugged into to build up a material

If you look up www.poliigon.com  they have guides telling you where to put each map for various different renderers.

FYI. The node EDITOR in corona is just another way of building the standard shaders - it doesn't build special nodal materials.
