Hello,
I'm having this issue for a while now and I think it's a bug. In the image in the attachments, you see a Corona light with a standard gradient applied to it. In front of it you see a 100% reflective cube, in both of these objects there is a white line visible on the edge of the Corona light. This should not be there as that is the black part of the gradient. I often use Corona lights with a gradient to light my product shots so whenever this effect is visible I have to remove it in post, which I'd rather not do.
Is there a workaround for this or can these be fixed?
Thanks.

This isn't a bug. It happens because of blurring. There are several ways how to "fix" this, either set texmap blurring to lowest possible value, or uncheck U and V tiling. Alternatively you can reduce tiling from 1 to 0,99 or lower, until black edge bleeding will dissapear.

Ah yes that worked, thanks! Sorry for putting this topic here..

No problem!

I'm still wondering though, why does the gradient blur to a white colour? Wouldn't it make more sense if it blurs to black? that way you wouldn't see the edge bleeding on the black side and also not on the white side because the environment is 9/10 times dark or black.

It blurs to white, as well as to black, or any other colour, that is set on the other end of a gradient. Try to play with U or V offset and you should see what i mean.

Tried it and I see now that the texture repeats itself, makes complete sense now. Turning off the tiling also works :)
Thanks.
