Beautifully.
Antialiasing seems quite jaggy.
Already had a long discussion with Corona-team about it... :)
Now I‘m using more highlight clamping and started to render big... like 4K, so jagged AA-edges look better in screen size like 27 inch.
Cable of pendant lamps can need a few more polys or smoothing.
And the chairs seem a bit low or the table too high.
Nice light, decent color palette with that interesting purple vase, calm composition.
Some DOF would make it even more interesting and realistic.

Beautiful

Nice - really calm tones.
+1 on the pendant cables. Splines don't have enough points. And the very nice purple glass vase has plants which are floating in mid-air.

Thanks all of you guys for your feedback, they are really help me improve my skill.

Many thanks for help me recognize some mistakes in my project.
Can I ask u about more detail about highlight clamping, I not actually know how to use it!

Hi rocodoco, yes.
Highlight clamping about 8 or 10 will reduce the contrast on edges with strong highlights, so antialiasing will look more smooth.
Don't use too low numbers... like 2... it will mess up glow in window areas and makes the overlit backgrounds look dull.
Highlight clamping will also reduce the dynamic of the whole render.
Also reducing GI/AA value to something like 6 should help with AA.
Although... the specialists at Corona told me that it does not really help with AA :)

Huh? Lowering GIvsAA helps get better antialiasing within the same rendering time, that is definitely true.

I think Designerman77 is confusing AA of <1 pixels with AA of >1 pixels here.

Hi Maru,
thanks for your reply.
Actually that was also what I read in the Corona-manuals.
-
Hi Romulus,
you mean sub pixel AA?
Since using a 5K display, I have the impression to see "more" AA... :)
I guess my older 2560x1440 display was simply not capable of showing such details, so AA looked better". ?
-
I mean "normal" pixels with brightness values under 1 versus overbright pixels with brightness values over 1. Antialiasing of former ones will improve with more passes, while the latter ones will stay jagged, no matter how many passes you will render for.
-
Hi Romulus,
I understand.
Yes, I was reading about this phenomenon some days ago. Wasn't really aware of it before.
Since that, I take care to keep highlights "under control" :)
Thanks for the reminder!

No problem!
