Title: Berlin Flat/Flat
Post by: lasse1309 on 2014-01-12, 19:53:08
Hello Everybody,

I hope you all had a good stat into 2014!

Just want to share some images that I fortunately found some time to finish over the christmas/new years time - a personal project in ages it feels like :)

Well, the set shows a minimalistic decorated berlin-flat. Those of you who know these type of apartments would spot some typical features like the windows, crude heating system, wooden plank flooring, high ceiling, vast spaces and connecting doors - and of course some oddly shaped rooms like 45° wall in kitchen and small annex-space which can only be used for placing a bed there.. (i actually lived in such room as a student.. well, just slept there at least).

Some of the models are from dc (sofa, bike), balloon is a model by Bertrand Benoit, apple&pear by idst, hangers and one of the shirts by juraj&veronica.

The guy standing there in odd pose is a self-made 3d scan of myself we did for testing in our studio.. hehe :)

Again - i had alot of fun with this small project and again corona showed itself as a very powerful tool! Just love that software!

all the best
Lasse

These are a nice set of images. The color scheme is great and especially I do like the one with the balloon.

The tonal contrast is very accurate on the "balloon" shot

Great work (as usual), but some of them are a bit noisy :) If you just could not wait for render to finish and were already triggerhappy to start post work, then it's ok, but if there were some performance issues with noise not going away even after long time, then let us know ;)

thanks! @rawalance: well, yes - grain-wise there could be a bit of an improvement; but that's just up to me, some should have cooked a bit longer ;)

Amazing design. I like the overall mood, lighting, details. It profesional from both sides: rendering and designing :)

lol - yes, I started with the pyramid in the kitchen and then it became some kind of a theme ending with the real cube in the black room ;)

Sticked geometries are a great idea. Preference for the bike shot. XOIO quality ;)
