Post by: gorkem_erol on 2019-04-18, 13:15:55
Hello,

I need help about distributed rendering. I have 3 machine except main computer. When I started rendering there is no change at pass windows but updates window is changing. What is the meaning of update and pass for disributed rendering ? Is it normal ? Can you help me please.

The scene requires twice as much memory as the machines have (around 27GB, while the machines only have 16GB installed). This means rendering will be incredibly slow (and you should have a low memory warning). The stats mean that no machine has finished 1 pass yet (not surprising, due to them all being out of memory). The updates means that the machines have communicated with the master machine to send over whatever data they have managed to render, so DR is working, just all machines are so slow that in half an hour and 30 updates, they still haven't finished the first pass.
