Super noob question, but I am still struggling to understand the interaction between Gamma / LUT settings (2.2) in the preferences rollout vs. bitmap import settings (override (1.0) vs. automatic).
I understand:
1. Gamma / LUT preferences (2.2) are required for Corona to function properly
2. Normal, height, and displacement maps, gamma correction is not needed, i.e. override (1.0) is recommended
3. 3ds Max applies gamma based on the bit depth of the file format: 2.2 for 8-bit and 16-bit file formats
My question is whether other bitmaps (e.g. albedo, roughness, glossiness, etc.) should be imported with gamma override or automatic gamma correction? From what I gather, the latter is recommended.

Generally, colour maps should come in with gamma 2.2 and data maps should come in with gamma 1.0
Colour maps are - diffuse (color, albedo, etc.), translucency colour (but not fraction), SSS scattering colour (but not SSS amount and radius). Everything else are data maps. I'm not sure only about volumetric absorption and scattering colour maps.

I understand, thank you for clarifying. In fact, your recommendations are consistent with the Allegorithmic Substance Integrations official documentation (https://support.allegorithmic.com/documentation/integrations/corona-for-3ds-max-157352444.html) as well.
