You can disable realtime denoising to avoid the crash.

If you want to get realtime denoising working, let us know if you followed all recommended steps on https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000048205-nvidia-gpu-ai-denoiser-errors

(As a note, you don't need to use Arnold, just installing a version of Max that has Arnold may be enough to have it install the DLLs whether you ever use it or not, or any render engine that has the option to use the NVIDIA denoisers - it's unfortunate how the NVIDIA DLLs are named / handled, which means that these conflicts can arise when more than one piece of software includes it in the installation).

You can disable realtime denoising to avoid the crash.

To do so, go to the "Performance" Tab and find "Fast preview denoise during render" checkbox at "Interactive rendering". It's not that setting you highlighted in your screenshot which affects IR denoising.

Good Luck

Possible solution:
1. Unpack all installer files as instructed here - https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000038849
2. Go to "NVIDIA AI Denoiser" folder
3. Copy all files which are in there
4. Go to C:\Program Files\Corona\optix (create the "optix" folder if it's not there)
5. Paste the files from "NVIDIA AI Denoiser" folder to C:\Program Files\Corona\optix folder
6. Start 3ds Max again
