Title: LightMix in motion rendering
Post by: MrW on 2019-02-08, 15:37:58
I everybody,

I need some help please.

I have been using Corona for quite some time. I am in a pro version today. I mainly produce still images and I use the lightmix a lot to make the settings of my scene easier.
I have to produce an animation today.
To do that, it's necessary to same the frames on by one in the C4D render settings.
But in this case, the lightmix settings are not take in charge ?!.....
Any one have advice for me ?

Thank's by advance ! And thank's to the Corona Team for this very good product !

Fred

Not sure if you are looking to animate the LightMix settings, or just need each frame to be the LightMix version and not the Beauty pass.

If the second, then you need to ensure you are saving the multipass layers and not just a single layer. That way you will end up with something like a PSD with all the layers, or end up with separate files, one for each layer (which is probably easiest for what you want). The usual C4D method for saving all Multipass layers should work just fine.

BTW, if you are looking to animate the LightMix, you'd have to composite all the individual LightSelects in some video editing application (saved the same way from C4D, by saving the multipass layers), and then animate things like the blending strength of the layers or various color adjustments like Exposure or Tint in the video editor.

Thank's Tom for your answer.

Yes the multipass is the best solution in my case.

As well, the bloom & glare layer is separate ! great news !!

good and thank you !

You are welcome! Yes, making sure Multi-Pass Image is checked with Save under the C4D Save options should still get you all the layers - the only thing you won't be able to do is save to CXR to adjust LightMix in post (but then, that doesn't work for an animation very easily anyway, so probably not something you will want to be doing).
