Title: Corrupt Max file layers not appearing

I have asked Corona render about this and it's not a CR Issue.

So can anybody else tell what is causing this and how to fix it.
The layers are all disappearing and the objects are still there 406 of them.
So whats the issue here?
It has happened a number of times.
Is there a fix????????
I have deleted the .ini file and started again, but  nothing happens.
I don't really want to rebuild the scene.

Try to create any object, unhide command, change mode in layer explorer. And finally try to merge scene in new empty scene

I saw someone with this issue on the beta forum.  They were able to fix it running the attached script.  They had to run the script, save the file, then re-open the file.  After saving the file again and re-opening, the layers were gone again, but running the script one more time and re-saving / re-opening fixed it.

That worked perfectly.
You have saved me a lot of work, I really do appreciate the advise.

I will be keeping that script.

Awesome! This may come in super handy when/if other users ever report similar problems.
